The speakers should produce an even balance of sound and deliver right across the treble, mid and bass frequencies with a clear sound.

Don’t go for bad portable computer speakers just because they are cheap, you’ll never really enjoy them. As a last point try to get ones which will be durable and will allow you to use them outside without problems in most normal weather conditions.
